My goal in working with clients is to create a safe and affirming space where you can explore, heal, and ultimately thrive. I specialize in working with LGBTQ adolescents and adults, many of whom have experienced trauma, whether in singular, life-altering events or cumulative, complex layers over time. Together, we will navigate the ways past experiences impact your life today, allowing you to process pain, reclaim what’s been lost, and move toward a life that feels more whole and true.

I am passionate about providing culturally competent care through a multicultural, intersectional, anti-oppressive lens. Having worked in high-acuity settings with diverse teams, I understand the importance of advocacy, particularly for gender-diverse youth, a commitment reflected in my conference presentations and training contributions.

My approach...

In therapy, I emphasize collaboration and adaptability, tailoring my approach to each client’s unique needs and strengths. I draw from evidence-based practices like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), as well as trauma-informed care. I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a form of CBT used with PTSD. My integrative practice also values the strength of community, offering both individual and group support to foster deeper connections with oneself and others.

Clients have shared that they appreciate my warmth, humor, and genuine curiosity. Many have felt dismissed or misunderstood in past therapeutic spaces, and I strive to offer an environment where they can feel truly seen and respected. If you’re curious about working together, I invite you to reach out for a consultation—I’d be honored to learn more about you and explore how we might support your journey.

Professional training & memberships...

I graduated from Penn State University with a BA in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies.I hold a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State, credential #LH61397909. I continue to expand my education by keeping up to date on best evidence-based care, and participating in workshops, seminars, and other structured trainings. In 2024 I presented at the Anxiety & Depression Association of America Conference on working with LGBTQ+ clients.
