Clara Lawryniuk, LMHCA

Pronouns: she/her

I believe no one is broken. Every person has the innate ability within them to heal, and may benefit from the structure, support, and safe space for exploration that therapy can provide on that journey. My role is to work with you as an individual, or along with your partner, to discover that healing for yourself. Whatever struggles you are facing, I know you are strong and resilient, and I’m here to help.

My style is collaborative and relational. I believe that while relationships can be the origin of some of our deepest pain and struggles, they offer an opportunity for powerful healing as well. Therefore, I am dedicated to creating a strong, trusting alliance between us, and providing a space where you can feel brave and empowered. My hope is to leave you feeling seen and accepted.

I am passionate about using a sex positive framework to help clients with sex and intimacy issues (including polyamory), and feel liberated from shame. As a queer woman, working with LGBTQ+ clients is near and dear to my heart.

My approach...

My approach to therapy is holistic: integrating a variety of theories and philosophies, including intersectional feminism, social justice/anti-oppression, existential psychotherapy, attachment theory and psycho-biological frameworks like the polyvagal theory.

Together we will explore the impact of all your identities - no one exists in a vacuum and distress is just as much about the larger context you live in as the body you inhabit. We will explore your behaviors and current “stuck points”, as well as the stories and beliefs that have echoed through your life.

We will develop an awareness of how you are showing up in your relationships. Overall, I tend to focus on a client’s subjective experience, because I believe a fulfilling life and relationship is up to you to define for yourself.

Clara's fees:

  • 50-minute session for individuals: $195

  • 50-minute session for families: $195;

  • 80-minute session for couples: $295.

  • *note: the first session (after the 20 minute intro) for couples is 2 hours long in order to do a "relationship inventory", a vital part of PACT therapy and is $375. We will discuss this in the intro session.

Professional training & memberships...

I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Bastyr University Seattle, and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington State, credential #MC61085124. I am a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
